This half-body double bass is as space-saving as the CB4, almost a cello, but provides the acoustic sensations of a full double bass. The Cancale has the scale of a classic double bass, 1050 mm, for a body volume smaller; The sides are 150 mm deep, the body 950 mm high by 450 mm at its widest. The soundboard is in spruce, sculpted exterior and interior arch, the body in curly maple, the neck in maple, the adjustable bridge in maple and the fingerboard in ebony.
