The optimal goal is that the finite instrument appears obvious, almost classical, despite a decidedly contemporary line.

La caisse très sphérique en bio-composit, au delà du confort de jeu, apporte une belle et très homogène réverbération, une projection très équilibrée au timbre chaleureux.

Why flax? The use of composites in guitar making goes back a long time, but I wanted to get out of overusing carbon due to its numerous ecological drawbacks. Flax makes for a great alternative, it’s natural, welcoming and the same mechanical results can be achieved as with carbon, at least for a guitar !
Technology – Based on the Ouessant guitar concept, the body is laminated with bio-composites, flax fibre and resin selected for it’s mechanical performance.The position of the soundhole is an evolution that came about naturally to allow greater sound board flexibility. The spider bracing is innovative with it’s pre-stressed harmonic bars.

This guitar is part of the first generation of Ouessant Insitu, a 12-necked version, this guitar is made with a Cedar table, ash base and slab, and the structural parts like the key, the easel, the nets are in Cormier, a regional wood I chose to replace the rosewood or ebony successfully, and which shows a great stability in addition to its resistance.

Spruce top, this guitar is also built with european wood, ash for back and sides, basswood for neck, wild pearwood for the fingerboard, bridge and bindings. As I was expecting, this new spider bracing gives more precision for a strumming use of the guitar, keeping the dynamic and bass harmonics that we could have before.

La coque en lin apporte ici une bonne projection et favorise l'équilibre par sa stabilité mécanique. Bois locaux toujours pour le manche tilleul, la touche en cormier et la table en épicéa du jura.

Le chevalet est également en Osage, tous deux m'ont été offert par un luthier installé à Woodstock (NY), où ces arbres poussent en quantité. C'est bois dur, d'un jaune safran naturel, et bien évidemment très dynamique, résistant et d'une forte élasticité.

The principle is for me to propose a model of traditional appearance, which brings together the evolutions and innovations that I developed on my model Ouessant for several years.
Le barrage, pour les tables en épicéa comme en red-cedar, est également dans la continuité du travail mené depuis presque dix ans sur les barrages pré-contraints, notamment avec le luthier Gérard Audirac. Je l'ai bien évidemment adapté à la présence d'une ouïe centrale, rosace traditionnelle, bien que de petite taille car elle est complétée par un évent latéral pour le confort du musicien.
Comme celui de la Ouessant, le manche est en tilleul renforcé d'une âme en cèdre, pour un rapport poids résistance optimisé, et la tête a été re-dessinée pour se rapprocher également d'une certaine tradition. Là aussi j'ai choisi le principe de l'enclavement à l'espagnol, le manche étant ainsi continu à l'intérieur de la caisse, le "truss-rod" opérant sur toute la longueur de la touche elle même collée sur l'intégralité du manche.

The eco-composite body in particular, shell molded in linen fiber and resin "green-epoxy", whose very rounded shape of the bottom and contours brings both a great ergonomic comfort, and a very interesting acoustic reproduction.
The linen fabric is transformed in Normandy, produced locally near the Lineo company, which is extremely satisfactory in terms of ecological impact.
The density, the weight of the hull that we stratified, is established in order to get closer to the mechanical behavior of the wood, but providing more resistance to shocks as to temperature and hygrometry variations.
